One show down. It’s crazy how fast this summer is going. The second show of the Summer Season, Sweet Charity, opens this week and it is bound to be an incredible show!
Sweet Charity is a very fun show filled with Fosse style dancing and great music. The cast, headlined by TV and Broadway star Milena Govich, is packed with incredible talent. Ashley Wells, making here civic center debut as a director, is going to knock your socks off! The script of the show is very witty but also makes you truly care about all the characters. Also, the set is one of the best I have ever seen. It is packed with bright lights, scaffolds, and multiple different levels. Everyone who sees the show is going to be blown away!
This week at the Broadway Preshow Show with Wilson the Intern we will being bringing back the talented Thomas Flemming and we will be introducing two new singers onto the side stage. Sam Brown, who you will remember from Bye Bye Birdie, will be adding a few songs as well as a brilliant actress of stage and screen named Calley Luman! You will also be introduced to a good friend of mine, Zoey the Guitar.
I am so excited to see Sweet Charity, as it is a show that I have never seen before. It should be a wonderful show that no one will want to miss. Remember to get to the theatre early to find a parking spot and see The Broadway Preshow Show with Wilson the Intern.
