In a little over two weeks, we’ll begin rehearsals for TARZAN! We’re so excited to start rehearsals for this high-flying Oklahoma premiere. This spectacular show will kick off our 50th summer season, and we’re bringing in an amazing crew of actors and technical staff for this show. Here are a few highlights:

Nicholas Rodriguez as Tarzan- Nicholas is an amazingly talented young man who will play the title role. Recently, he played Curly in Washington D.C.’s Arena Stage’s production of OKLAHOMA!. He’s sure to light up the stage as he swings across it!

Felicia Boswell as Kala- If you saw MEMPHIS THE MUSICAL on its recent tour through Oklahoma City, you got to witness Felicia’s performance. She’s a Helen Hayes award winning actress with an amazing voice that is sure to blow you away.

Steve Blanchard as Kerchak- You probably remember him from his role as Cosmo Constantine in last year’s production of CALL ME MADAM. I can’t wait to hear him sing “No Other Way”!

Erin Latham as our Mixed Media Printmaker- Erin is an amazing local artist who we’re excited to have working with us on TARZAN. Her work was recently featured in the art show Momentum: Art Doesn’t Stand Still, where she produced an immerse environment that resembled under the sea.

Adam Koch as Set Designer- Did you see CALL ME MADAM, SWEET CHARITY, or BYE BYE BIRDIE last summer? Then you saw the fantastic work of Adam Koch, who will be designing the set for TARZAN. We’ve seen sketches, and let me say- it’s pretty incredible. He’s going to bring the jungle to the Civic Center stage.

Daniel Stover as Fight/Stunt Choreographer- Daniel is currently the director of AntiGravity Orlando, which is a well-known acrobatics troupe. He’ll be training and guiding the actors in aerial stunts and unique choreography- its sure to be an eye-popping experience.

Are you as excited about these stars as we are? Then join us for TARZAN- it runs June 25- 29 at the Civic Center, and tickets are on sale now. See you at the theatre!
