Last week was great- I took an amazing trip to New York City, along with one of our Associate Board members, Jennifer Long. Jennifer’s parents generously purchased the trip for her at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma’s 2011 Broadway Ball, and we had a wonderful time. We saw some spectacular shows, including MEMPHIS THE MUSICAL- which is currently featuring Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma alumna Sasha Hutchings. Sasha spent four summers with Lyric, performing in shows such as OLIVER!, RAGTIME, BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. After the show, I talked with Jennifer and Sasha about their experience with the show- they both had a great time!
Sasha was also kind enough to let us take a peek of the Shubert Theatre from the stage. It’s pretty amazing!
