If you’ve been seeing Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma productions for a few years, you might remember our production of ANNIE, in 2004. In this production, Beth Leavel appeared as Mrs. Hannigin- here’s a picture to help jog your memory.
We’re excited to announce that Ms. Leavel will be appearing as Sally Adams in our production of CALL ME MADAM. In the past few years, Ms. Leavel has accomplished quite a lot- she garnered a Tony Award for the title role in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. If you’ve never heard her sing “As We Stumble Along” from this show, you’re in for a real treat- just click the video below.
Ms. Leveal has many Broadway credits, including 42ND STREET (Dorothy Brock), STREET, CRAZY FOR YOU, SHOWBOAT, THE CIVIL
WAR and YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. Ms. Leavel was also nominated for another Tony for her role in BABY, ITS YOU! just last year. She is a terrific actress and singer, and we can’t wait to see her perform at the Civic Center!
