The charming and heartwarming tale of young love, THE FANTASTICKS, will play Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma’s Plaza Theatre April 6 through 24. Audiences will follow the story of Matt and Luisa as they fall in love and face the challenges of growing up.THE FANTASTICKS tells the story of Matt (Nate Stukey) and Luisa (Arden Walker), two teenagers who have begun to fall in love, despite their fathers’ feud. The feud was a ploy, however, set up by the parents (Thomas E. Cunningham and Brian Stockton) to fan the flames of their children’s love. All seems well as the children declare their love for each other. But, as the narrator (Mateja Govich) warns the audience, “what was last night’s scenic, may seem cynic by today.” With music by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones, the fanciful tale is perfect for the entire family.
THE FANTASTICKS is the longest running musical in New York, with over 17,000 performances done off-Broadway.
