“What’s your dream role?”

This question is all too familiar to most stage performers. We asked the cast of THE FANTASTICKS what their dream roles were, and we’re pretty confident that each and every one of those dreams will come true one day. Check out their answers below!

1. Arden Walker as all of the women in INTO THE WOODS

Although she mostly wants to play Cinderella, Arden thinks it would be fun to try all of them, and we agree! Her role as the only girl in THE FANTASTICKS makes her more than prepared to take on any of these feisty, confident women!

2. Nate Stukey as “Jack Kelly” in NEWSIES

This role has taken the Broadway world by storm in the last few years, opening on Broadway in 2012 and currently running its first National Tour. Nate certainly has the young world-changer personality that a role like this requires. Seize the day, Nate!

3. Mat Govich as “Floyd Collins” in FLOYD COLLINS

This little-known musical ran off-Broadway for just 25 performances, telling the 1925 true story of an explorer who becomes trapped in a cave. Maybe we could see Mat starring in this role when it finally hits Broadway!

4. Terry Runnels as “Don Quixote” in MAN OF LA MANCHA

Although he’s played it before, we could never tire of seeing Terry play this iconic role. As he’s said before, he’s finally old enough to play it and it’s perfect for his pipes!

5. Hassan Nazari-Robati as “Seymour” in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

Hassan is no stranger to strange characters. After spending time as a talking candlestick on the national tour of Beauty & the Beast, we can totally imagine him as the nerdy florist, caring for the giant man-eating plant in this cult classic!

6. Sheridan McMichael as “Rum Tum Tugger” in CATS

We all know there’s a Broadway revival coming up. Sheridan, have you sent in your tapes?!

7. Thomas E. Cunningham as “Nostradamus” in SOMETHING ROTTEN!

This hilarious, Tony-nominated role is the perfect fit for this hilarious actor! Just listen to the song “It’s a Musical” on the Original Cast album and you’ll see exactly why!

8. Ashley Wells as “Roxie Hart” in CHICAGO

One day, we’ll get Ashley back up on stage from behind the director’s table. And we agree that her dance ability would lead perfectly to a star turn in this iconic role!

While we’d love to see all of these come true tomorrow, these talented performers are staying busy for now. See them in THE FANTASTICKS at the Plaza Theatre running April 6-24.
