Everyone loves being surrounded by family around the holidays, and the cast of LYRIC’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL is no exception. Many members of the cast have been in the show since Lyric’s first production of it in 2011, and we asked a few cast members what keeps them coming back. We’re happy to share their answers with you, and hope we’ll see you and your family at the show!

What brings you back to perform LYRIC’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL year after year?
It is a lovely show and is beautifully produced & directed. The cast is top notch and the audiences are consistently great! I love calling Lyric my home during the holidays!

What is your favorite moment during the show?
Probably it would be a toss-up between the Fezziwig scene and Scrooge’s redemption. Fezziwig because I love working with Tommy Cunningham, watching him command the stage is so much fun and then there is all the dancing. It is just a fun scene. And, my costume is FANTASTIC! Scrooge’s redemption because we are all onstage with him and yet it is one of the most intimate scenes in the show.

What’s your favorite “behind the scenes” moment that’s happened during this show?
There are so many! We, as a cast, have such affection for each other and when you spend as much time together as we do, that is a plus. I love the dressing room, as strange as that sounds. We are always telling stories, laughing and just having a blast.

What brings you back to perform LYRIC’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL year after year?
Family…The cast has become a close family. I look forward all year long to spend the holidays with my CHRISTMAS CAROL family.

What is your favorite moment during the show?
My favorite part of the show is Fred’s party scene. It just seems like the perfect example of the Christmas Spirit. Friends gathering and sharing the true spirit of Christmas.

What’s your favorite “behind the scenes” moment that’s happened during this show?
My favorite backstage moment is waiting for our entrance for Fezziwig’s party. Matt Brown and I watch the shadow of Christmas past floating on the back wall. All the sounds and excitement before we enter…  It’s really exciting.
