Jeffrey Ambrosini



Jeffrey is glad to be back at Lyric after appearing in EVITA. He has performed regularly at Rose State as Prospero in Tempest, Archie in The Secret Garden, Bruce Ismay in Titanic, Andrew Carnes in Oklahoma! and Mr. Laurence in Little Women. He was recently seen as King Claudius in Hamlet, Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet and Cardinal Ostensible in Scenes from an Execution with Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park. He has distinguished himself in a wide variety of Theatre, Music Theatre, Operatic and Concert repertoire at Teatro La Fenice, The New York Philharmonic and The Life Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria. His roles in Shakespeare include the title role in Macbeth and with Florida Shakespeare Festival, as Macduff in Macbeth, both Prospero and Caliban in The Tempest, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Earl of Westmoreland and Owen Glendower in Henry VI Part 1. He has worked as both baritone and tenor soloist in more than 50 roles in many regional opera houses and two National Tours of Kiss Me, Kate and The Most Happy Fella. He has performed many leading man roles such as Curly, El Gallo, Lancelot, Don Quixote. Mr. Ambrosini is on the voice faculty of Southern Nazarene University and Rose State College as well as a Doctoral Fellow at the University of Oklahoma. He holds a Master’s degree from Oklahoma City University, a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin College Conservatory and graduated cum laude from Nassau Community College. He is a native of Massapequa, NY.
