Lyric’s OKLAHOMA! Resumes Shows;  Additional Sunday Performance Added

OKLAHOMA CITY – June 25, 2015 – Performances of OKLAHOMA! at the Civic Center Music Hall will resume tonight. The Wednesday, June 24 performance was canceled due to no electricity at the Civic Center. To accommodate our patrons, an additional performance on Sunday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. has been added.

“We thank our patrons for their understanding of last night’s situation,” said Michael Baron, Lyric’s producing artistic director. “We thank our sponsor, OG&E, for their prompt response to the issue. They have assured us and the Civic Center that all of OG&E’s equipment was, and continues to be, in running order. Upon further investigation, we discovered the outage was caused by a transformer failure at the Civic Center Music Hall. Electricity has now been restored to the Civic Center. We’re excited that we’ve been able to add an additional performance, and look forward to seeing our audiences there.”

Patrons who already held tickets for the Wednesday, June 24th performance of OKLAHOMA! may use their tickets for the Sunday, June 28th performance. There is no need to contact Lyric’s box office to exchange your tickets.

There are additional tickets available for the added Sunday performance; patrons may purchase these tickets by calling Lyric’s box office at (405) 524-9312 or by visiting LyricTheatreOKC.com.
