Broadway Ball 2015

by Sep 9, 2015

Let your mind wander back to the 20s: a time of short hemlines, bobbed hair and jazzy tunes. Sound like a good time? Then come to Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma City’s 20th annual Broadway Ball! This black tie fundraising event will be full of drinks, dining and dancing as guests escape back to the roaring 20s with entertainment provided by the cast of BERNICE BOBS HER HAIR. Be the first to hear songs from this world premiere musical and get a chance to meet the composer, Adam Gwon, and writer, Julia Jordan.

Broadway Ball is Lyric’s largest fundraiser and allows Lyric to continue bringing world class professional theatre to Oklahoma City. The event will host a silent and live auction, where guests can bid on a number of impressive items. Live auctions items include a ski trip to Banff, stays at luxury homes in Asheville, North Carolina and Manzanillo, Mexico, a trip to the Festival of New Musical in New York City and a private performance of Lyric’s Production of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.

Tickets are $250 per person. Sponsorships of the Broadway Ball start at $600 and include seating for 2 and an invitation to an open rehearsal of BERNICE BOBS HER HAIR on Thursday, September 17th.

The event will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Embassy Suites Downtown/Medical Center and will take place on Friday, September 25th. Cocktails and the silent auction will start at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 8 p.m. with the live auction and entertainment to follow. Topping off the night will be dancing to the Music of The Burton Band.

Dust of your boater hat and throw on some pearls to add a little 20s flair for this black tie event you will not want to miss!

Tickets and tables are for purchase here.

Support for the Broadway Ball is provided by The Chickasaw Nation, Ann Simmons, Alspaugh, Gail and Bill Beals, Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy, the Inasmuch Foundation, Nancy and George Records, and Williams.
