The perfect All-American summer musical. Con man Harold Hill swindles and charms a small Midwestern town into believing that he can teach an all-kid band to play musical instruments using the "think system." The tables are turned on Hill as he falls for the prim local librarian, Marian, and sweetly learns that possibly the "think system" really does work.
