“This is Michael. How may I assist you?”
Hello! My name is Michael Bratcher. At Lyric Theatre, I wear several hats, but the one that occupies the majority of my time is that as Audience Services Manager.
What exactly does that mean, you might ask?
- When you call the box office to purchase a ticket, there’s a good chance you might talk with me.
- When you pick up a ticket at the Will Call window, you may see my face.
- When you receive an e-mail confirmation of your ticket order, it comes from my e-mail address.
I love my day-to-day interaction with our patrons. My master’s degree is in hospitality, and after spending several years working in the hotel industry, I made the jump to Lyric Theatre about a year and a half ago.
It has been a whirlwind over the last few months, but I have loved every moment. I worried having very little knowledge about the theatre world would be troublesome, but I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help take me through each step of the way.
I consider myself fortunate to work with such a great group of people. They put a smile on my face each day, and, in turn, that excitement carries through with my conversations with our patrons. And, what a wonderful group of patrons we have, too!
So, the next time you walk through the Plaza Theatre doors, stop by the Will Call window and say hello. I’m excited to meet you, and we’re glad you’re part of our Lyric family.
