From Broadway theatres to the Civic Center and Lyric’s Plaza Theatre, donor contributions play a significant part in musical theatre at every level. A recently published article in The Oklahoman detailed the large amount of contributed support needed to sustain several local arts organizations, including Lyric, and how without it, ticket prices would double. At Lyric, nearly 30% of that support comes from our corporate sponsors – Fortune 500 corporations, family-owned businesses and everything in between. Feel-good comments aside, their dollars make a noticeable impact on Lyric’s bottom-line and the bottom-line of our patrons.

During Lyric’s 50th Anniversary Season, two generous organizations, the Chickasaw Nation and the Inasmuch Foundation, have partnered with Lyric in celebration of this milestone to help Lyric give back to the community that has supported us for many years. As sponsors of Lyric’s 50th Anniversary, their support will underwrite special ticket promotions and giveaways throughout the year, as well as a free outdoor concert at the Myriad Gardens on June 1. Many patrons have already taken advantage of the 50 free tickets being given away on the first day of rehearsal for every production, but the season has just started and there is much more to come.

Thank you, Chickasaw Nation and Inasmuch Foundation, for helping us celebrate this important milestone.
