DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.
Ages 7 –14
June 3-15
Monday thru Friday: 10 am – 5 pm
Performance Date: June 15 at 2 pm and 6 pm

Kids ages 7-14 who want to have fun on Lyric's Plaza stage stage. An exciting performance/ technique based musical theatre camp in which your child will be featured in the production of THE LITTLE MERMAID! All students will train in acting, movement, group voice and audition techniques.
Audition Dates: May 31 from 4 -6 pm / Saturday June 1 from 10 am - 2 pm
Master Class Intensive
Ages 8 -18

Instructors: Lyric staff and guest artists from across the nation performing with Lyric in the 2013 Summer season.
Performers ages 8 -18 interested in experiencing various specialized areas of theatrical study. S tudents will attend two classes each day in areas such as: Stage Combat, Stage Make-Up, Improvisation, Dance, Vocal Projection

Theatre Magic
Ages 5 -7

Kids ages 5-7 who love to be the center of attention! A fun introduction to musical theatre where students learn the basics of Acting, singing (solo & group), and theatre movement. The class will culminate with a short musical presentation.

Acting Classes
Stars of Tomorrow – 12 weeks, $300
Grades 2-5
Thursday 4:30 – 6:30
Instructors: Stephen Hilton, Brian Barry, Kevin Smith
Class will include 2 one-hour sessions, alternating between Acting, Dance and Voice. Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of musical theatre. At the end of the semester students should be able to exhibit a higher order of rehearsal skills, an understanding of basic music theory, the ability to follow a part in a musical score, learn and perform a “dance combination” and will perform a scene from a musical appropriate for their age and skill levels.
Theatre Magic – 12 weeks, $200
Ages 5-7
Monday 4:30 – 6:30 pm

A fun introduction to musical theatre for the kid who wants to be in the spotlight. Students will learn the basic concepts of theatre(Acting, Dance and Voice) and will learn how to listen and respond in rehearsal settings. At the end of the semester students should be able to exhibit acting, dance and singing skills, the ability to take direction, knowledge of stage terminology and will perform a scene from a musical which is appropriate for their age and skill levels.
Production Performance Classes
Center Stage – (Musical Theatre Production) – 14 weeks, $425

Students will apply musical theatre technique from a strong acting base to create the multiple characters called upon by the Academy’s musical productions.
Spring 2013 Production Show (Grades 2-12): THE PIRATES
Rock and roll meets Gilbert and Sullivan’s THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE. The comic opera will take on a rock’n roll twist with the help of the RoKademY students. Watch out for swashbuckling pirates, damsels in distress and the Pirate King.

RoKademY – 14 weeks, $300
Ages 12-18
Monday 4:30 – 6:30
Instructor: Matthew Alvin Brown
Students will create and perform their own Rock Musical under the direction of Matthew Alvin Brown. They will join the Canter Stage students of THE PIRATES, creating new, original rock and roll music for the musical production.
Dance Classes
Ballet - 12 weeks , $250
Ages 12-18

Students will be introduced to the fundamental exercises, techniques and steps of classical ballet.
Theatre Dance – 12 weeks, $250
Ages 12-18
Wednesdays 5:30 -7:00
Instructor: Brian Barry
Students will learn the basics steps of theatre movement and how to learn combinations quickly. Students will build upon the techniques taught and focus on how movement is used to tell a story in the musical theatre genre.
Tap – 12 weeks, $200
Ages 12-18
Instructor: Brian Barry
Beginning Level: Monday, 6:00- 7:00 pm
Intermediate Level: Monday, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals and traditional steps of tap dance with an emphasis on proper technique. This will include such skills as dexterity of the feet, basic weight shift, balance, placement and turning.
